I am wondering how the NaPiBoWri group (that my SBB mentioned last week) is doing!

Seven picture books in seven days? Love it. Even though I am not participating, I did come up with six potential ideas during a nice long walk with Luna. I am firm believer in the idea that writing begets writing, ideas give birth to more ideas.

But now I am here to suggest a contest for those PB writers who are further along in the process: The Cheerios Spoonfuls of Stories contest!

For those of you who have yet to publish your first story, this is a super-cool opportunity. Cash Prize! Book Contract with Simon and Schuster! Publicity! Kids eating and reading!

Last year’s winner is Can I Just Take a Nap? by Ron Rauss – according to their website he is a stay at home Dad – sounds like a case of writing what you know, eh?

Wub2Write interviewed one of last year’s runner-ups – Nancy O’Connor is a real live person! And you can even read her adorable story .

Good luck and let me know when you win!
