Hi Suzanne:
I listed your blog on my blog list on Saxon’s Abstractions. Thanks so much for stopping in and posting. I’ll be checking in here from time to time. Happy New Year!
Thanks Saxon. I too really enjoyed reading your blog, and will be checking it out from time to time.
Dear Suzanne
It was a pleasure meeting you last Saturday at the local SCBWI meeting.
I love your book. It is very similar to the style I am writing in.
I looked at the site for Raven Tree Press and I noticed they do not accept unsolicited manuscripts.
Since this is my first attempt at writing a children’s book, I am eager to learn everything . And this was my first SCBWI meeting.
Would you mind sharing any tips you have learned ? Do you have an agent ? What has the agent done for you?
How long did the process take before you were published?
My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter is my inspiration for writing. She is always asking for me to tell her a story. And so I got the idea to write.
She is bilingual… English and Spanish and I am introducing her to Italian as well.
Congratulations for getting the Golden Moonbeam Award ! How Exciting !
sincerely

Hi Sue and Sarah,
It was great meeting you both while we stuffed folders for the conference. I can’t get over how amazingly kind everybody in this industry is. You both are perfect examples.
Your recap of the conference was just what I needed. My notes weren’t quite as complete.
Thanks Girls. I hope to see you around!
Patti
Thanks Patti,
It was nice meeting you as well. I agree with you that the people at the San Diego SCBWI are a great group and very kind.
I look forward to seeing you at future meetings.
Sue
Hi Suzanne, I just ready Grandma’s Pear Tree to my kindergarten class. It is a lovely book and the children loved it! They laughed at everything stuck up in the tree. They really laugh when Abuela got stuck too!
Zach was very proud to share this special book with his class! Thank you!
Lee
Hi Lee,
It is always lovely to hear that someone has enjoyed my story. I think that is one of the biggest compliments an author can receive. Thank you for taking the time to share with me. I am thrilled that Zach was able to share his book with your class.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Santillan
