Something Fun to Check Out, But Can We Still Call it a Book?

My Super Blog Buddy sent me this link from Kirkus Reviews. Here is the awesome video:

 

This is part of their expanding coverage of new technologies with this introductory snapshot of what’s available now for children on the iPad, including “The Five Apps You Need to Check out Now”—the first five apps to earn the coveted Kirkus star, awarded to books of “remarkable merit.”

I applaude Kirkus for taking a step into the future and the App looks like it could be tremendous fun.

But would you consider it a book? Tell me what you think.
