I’ve been going through a bit of a dry spell, reading-wise. I simply haven’t been able to settle in and fall in love with a book. I think it might because I am in heavy-duty revision mode – it’s making me hyper-critical.
But… now I am absolutely giddy. The tide has changed.
Look at my stack of reads I have lined up. So so excited!
TRACING STARS By Erin E Moulton
A golden lobster named Monty Cola? Sign me up! I can’t wait to read this book about friendship and family – and lobsters! I fully expect to get lost in the setting and humor. Yay!
WONDER by R.J. Polacio
I’m curious about this one – been wonder-ing, you might say – if it’s as good as I keep hearing. Sounds very thought-provoking to consider how much we base our own perceptions on appearances.
SEE YOU AT HARRY’S by Jo Knowles
Every now and then I like a good cry. From what I hear, this will be the one to provide just that. I have been a fan of Jo’s for years – her books are exquisite and poignant. She just keeps getting better and better.
DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE by Laini Taylor
This wouldn’t necessarily have caught my attention, except its Laini Taylor! Much love for Lips Touch, Three Times. I think it’ll be whirl of a story, filled with luscious writing.
Giddy-up!

WRITING ON THE SIDEWALK
Like minds! I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I’m reading and loving Tracing Stars right now, with the other two on my can’t-wait-to-read list!
I know what you mean about not being able to settle down to read…I”m there, too. But soon, I’ll be traveling again (my favorite time to read) and I’ll add your recommendations to the list–Topping it with TRACING THE STARS
